Map of Hidden Places in Qatar
An interactive map of Qatar’s hidden places: quiet beaches, desert landmarks, forts, mangroves and public art, from Al Zubarah in the north to the Inland Sea in the south. Tap a place to see what it is, when to go and how to get there.
Tips for exploring Qatar’s hidden places
Most of these places are outside Doha and have few facilities, so a little planning goes a long way.
Go in the cooler months
November to March is the best time for beaches, desert and heritage sites. In summer, go early in the morning or around sunset.
Check the road first
Some places need a 4x4 or a licensed tour, especially in the desert. Each guide says how to get there and what car you need.
Confirm it’s open
Heritage sites and beaches can close for restoration, events or turtle nesting. Check the guide’s notes and the official source before you drive.
